Sailors Wanted

We have been studying why European Explorers came to America. One of our assignments was to advertize to potential sailors why a voyage to The New World would be exciting and what characteristics explorers may have been looking for in a potential crew. Here is one of the presentations. Enjoy!

A New Allstar!

We had an unexpected visitor in our classroom this week. We found a tiny lizard and decided to observe him for Science before setting him free. The children named him Stripey and after a short visit in our classroom, he was set free to play outside. Ask your Allstar all about it. It's always an exciting day in our classroom.

Allstar Magic Science

We had a lot of fun in the Science Lab discussing our Allstar Magic science experiment. It went in line with the idea that the magic in our classroom wouldn't happen unless we had the right environment and everyone worked together. We talked about our "habits" and how it is ok to make mistakes. We also talked about helping each other and working as a team to bring everyone up. Then we added the magic. Ask your Allstar what happened.

Allstar Goals

The first week of school we worked on setting goals. Ask your Allstar what they are shooting for this year.

Meet the Teacher Night A Great Success!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Meet the Teacher Night! It was a pleasure meeting all of our Allstar parents and students. As promised, there is a link on the main page of my teacher webpage to the powerpoint presentation that was looping in our classroom. You will need to scroll down a tad as it is at the very bottom of the main page. It's just a brief overview of who I am and a little about our classroom. Again, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am so excited for Monday and hope that your child is as well. Enjoy your last few days of summer!
